About Mrs. Blazer:
I am from South Carolina and graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Biology. I continued my education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning two master's degrees one in Educational Leadership and the other in English as a Second Language. I taught for five years at the high school level before becoming a dean of students, assistant principal and now principal. This is my first year as principal at Norwood Elementary School. I am so excited to working in and with the community of Norwood. We have some amazing students and staff at Norwood and I look forward to continuing to see us grow this year.
I am married to Clint, who teaches in Cabarrus County. We have one child, our fur baby Shelby. When not at school, Mr. Blazer and I spend lots of time with our family and friends. We enjoy travelling, going on adventures together and going to concerts.
About Mrs. King:
I am Carolyn King and I am very excited to be the Assistant Principal at Norwood Elementary this year. I am originally from Buffalo, New York and earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Fredonia State in 2005. I moved to Baltimore, Maryland where I taught for 3 years and earned my Master's degree in Special Education from Towson University in 2009. In 2010, I became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Exceptional Needs. I taught in Cabarrus County for 14 years as an Exceptional Children's Resource Teacher. In 2022, I earned my administration certificate through UNCC. I look forward to getting to know your children this year and helping them grow!
