About Us

Welcome to Norwood Elementary School, home of the Bulls!  Our school is located in southern Stanly County just before the Stanly-Anson county line.  Our physical address is 400 South Main Street, Norwood.  Norwood School houses approximately 350 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grades with three self-contained Exceptional Children classes.  The staff consists of 22 classroom teachers, full-time media specialist, curriculum coach, resource teacher and seven full-time assistants.  Norwood also has part-time ESL, art, music, PE, AIG, nurse, and speech therapist.  The school has been the center of the Norwood community for over 100 years, having undergone several remodeling stages.  There are strong ties between the school and community leaders, especially the Norwood Police Department and Michelin.  An active PTO plans events for both students and staff which also involve the community.
